Dearest members of Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and kind greetings you have given Elizabeth, the boys, and me. We feel truly appreciated and loved here in Crown Point. Thank you to everyone who gave us gifts for the home, shopping, and help moving in. You have wonderfully made us to feel like family. Opportunities to Serve
Groundwork Guatemala: This year, 14 members of our congregation, 8 adults and 6 youth, including Pastor Henderson and his son Noah, are planning to go to Guatemala. Their goal is to not only share the good news and love of Jesus Christ with those who are in need, but also to encourage and care for the missionaries who are serving there. Our whole congregation can be a part of this endeavor and take ownership of this trip by helping financially and praying for those who go. Please also pray for the ministry and donate items that are needed there. For the month of June we will be collecting monetary donations and personal care items. (Please see list in the atrium for needed items.)
Membership Classes (called Christian Essentials) will be held on Saturday mornings, June 1 and June 8 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Those who are wanting to transfer to Trinity can be a part of the orientation part on Saturday, June 8 at 11 a.m.
Happy Retirement! The Trinity Day School Board invites you to join them in celebrating teachers Laurie Pavlovick and Sandy Rosenwinkel as they retire from teaching after many years of faithful service to Trinity. Laurie and Sandy will be recognized at the 10:30 Traditional service on Sunday, June 2, with a time of fellowship and Godspeed following the service in the Fellowship Hall. All are invited to attend, and any former students of these ladies will be included in a photo to be taken at noon. Well-wishers with questions or desiring to participate in hosting may contact Principal Christine Miller at [email protected].
