Announcements for the week of October 6
Did you know: Trinity Lutheran School has a fantastic Art Program led by our wonderful art teacher, Mrs. Yates. Our students have the opportunity to create and explore during Art Class. They can sign up for our after-school Art Club or participate in theatrical art that Mrs. Yates periodically directs. Be on the lookout for info about our 2020 Spring Play and other potential art programs in the making. You won’t want to miss it! Thank you, Lord, for Trinity Lutheran School where we are blessed to encourage creativity through our wonderful arts program.
Apples for the Students: Thank you to everyone who has participated in this program! We have received many Strack’s receipts, and we are well on our way to earning free educational equipment for our school! If you’d like to help, please save your Strack and VanTil receipts and place them in the ‘apple box’ in the Atrium. Please make sure the subtotal is on the receipt, that is how we track totals towards the free educational equipment! Thank you!
Additional Food Pantry Needs for Blessing Tree Food Baskets: Although our 28 Days of Giving will potentially fulfill most needs for the food baskets, we are still in need of toilet paper, soap, floss, disinfectant wipes, peanut butter, jelly, brownies and pudding. Donations can be dropped off in the Narthex or outside the Gym. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make check out to “Trinity Lutheran Church,” make sure you put “Blessing Tree” on the memo line.
Trinity Sociables: You are invited to Abuelo’s Restaurant, located at 8255 Georgia St. in Merrillville, on November 21st at 12pm. The luncheon menu includes all your favorite Mexican menu foods, house specialties, lunch specials and offers a gluten-sensitive menu. For a reservation or information, contact Don or Barbara Wigley at 219-374-9451
